Kittybork Posted December 2, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2005 I saw on one of the sites that Carnival has an emergeny number for passengers to leave in case anything happens at home? Do any of you leave the number, and has anyone ever gotten in touch with you on the ship?
carni05 Posted December 2, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2005 I just got off the phone w/ Carnival- there's a satellite phone $9. per minute!!! 877 225 7447 - Or they can call the 1 -888- Carnival and they will send the ship an email- need booking #, name, cabin #
DFritz Posted December 2, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2005 Leave the number at home for the American Red Cross ( it's a free call ) but include all pertinent information such as booking number, cabin, names, etc. This will only be valid in a true emergency. Kudos2Fly Posted December 2, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2005 I never have left a number for any of our family to get ahold of us. Its not a bad ideal to do that. It may be 9$ a minute, but in an emergency its worth the money. A few times my dad had to us Ship to Shores calls. And I remember my mother talking about it. It wasn't cheap, probably more money then now. Kim

I would have never thought of that. Believe me, I don't want to hear from anyone unless it's a true emergency!
Cruisin Oma Posted December 2, 2005 #7 Share Posted December 2, 2005 Your friends and family can contact you via the Maritime Telecommunications Network's (MTN) Shore to ship Telephone Service by calling 1-877-CCL-Ship or 1-732-335-3284. There is a "nominal" charge. I would assume they need your ship name, booking number, cabin number

mojean Posted December 2, 2005 #9 Share Posted December 2, 2005 If I'm not mistaken the number is on a page included in your docs, because I remember leaving in with my mother. She was a little eerie, since all her girls were gone at the same time.:D
