evandbob Posted August 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2017 From a Reader's Digest article: http://www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/whats-hot/this-is-why-you-should-never-ever-use-the-hotel-hair-dryer/ar-AApE3Nr?li=BBnbfcL&ocid=mailsignout I would think that this is counter-intuitive, since in my mind, most would use a hair dryer after showering and washing one's hair, but what do I know? I cut off my ponytail back in 1975 and don't have enough hair now to even use a hair dryer. The other most bacteria laden item on cruise ships are the tongs at the buffet! easyboy Posted August 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2017 Must be better to bring your own portable hair dryer. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Florings Posted August 8, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2017 Well, now that I know, I will wipe that down with my Lysol/Clorox wipes, too! Thanks for the heads up.
nina_930 Posted August 10, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2017 The other most bacteria laden item on cruise ships are the tongs at the buffet! I've never thought of the tongs in the buffet. You wash your hands before, but touch those things and then eat. I will be switching my hand washing routine going forward. On the ship especially I am a hand sanitizer nut.
