Kittybork Posted December 4, 2005 #27 Share Posted December 4, 2005 And when you do ask, they are very happy to give you a bowl of munchies. I'm happy to hear that. Most posts are about the sweets, which I love, but when I drink, I need salty to keep me from getting too sauced.
Cruise Monkey Posted December 4, 2005 #28 Share Posted December 4, 2005 We didn't see munchies sitting out at the bars either. But, we saw someone who had some. We asked at the bar, and they had them behind the bar, and gave us refills whenever we wanted. Most people didn't know you could get them. It's worth a try to ask anyway. Very true, noticed this on the last cruise at the bar in the casino. Someone was eating munchies, and I asked the bartender and she was cool about it. Good to know that you can get these at all of the bars on the ship though. I did notice though that they had munchies sitting out on the tables in the piano bar - or maybe I sat down after the last person left and they didn't have time to pick them up? Either way, they were yummy:p

Bars serve salty snacks to make you thirsty so you'll drink/spend more. :p
nzggator Posted December 4, 2005 #32 Share Posted December 4, 2005 When I was on the Destiny they had a Cafe On The Way on the Promenade deck. About Every night I went and got some Macadamion Nut Cookies. These cookies were good! I will be sailing on Liberty in March and don't remember seeing a Cafe On The Way on the plans. Does the Coffee Shop (or any where on the ship) have these cookies? These cookies were not too light but not too filling, just enough for a night snack. caprcorn28 Posted December 4, 2005 #33 Share Posted December 4, 2005 Last cruise I got off the ship sooooo craving chips, chips and cheese, tortilla chips, potato chips...any CHIPS. I, for some reason, needed the crunch. It wasn't like I didn't think that I couldn't have any...just didn't have the strong craving until after leaving the ship....I'll try and stem that off next time by just ordering a little every day! Because it is true - all you have to do is ask!! Our kids and their friends found that out the easy way. They were sitting at one of the Promenade tables doing homework and really wanted some cherries (from up at the bar) - They asked and the bartender gave the a big cup to share!!! caprcorn28 Posted December 5, 2005 #36 Share Posted December 5, 2005 doing homework? We were cruising during October. The kids of the other family that we were traveling with had homework from school to do, our kids were just required (by us) to sit down each day, and do journaling about the trip, what they learned, where we were (country, stuff from the Capers that they wanted to share with classmates)...that kind of stuff. All elementary school ages at the time - no serious homework.
