Is there a beach near the port at St. Maarten?

about Coco Beach - is it clothing optional?

Sorry, never seen, or even heard of this request at COCO.
There are many clothing optional venues at the far South end of the bay.  Coco is very North.

Consider a missive direct to COCO, before booking one’s day/lunch.

Not looking for one, rather, just want to make sure I don't show up at one.  lol   Never been to SM, and know they have some clothing optional beaches there, just not sure if they are everywhere or isolated.

Then COCO will not disappoint…….

Note to self….
On entering for the first time… Pause, look left and right, take it all in, then say to oneself a gentle “yes”…  Because at that moment in time you’ll understand why COCO.

Enjoy…..

No problem…. Trust they assisted to show the differences between Great Bay and Coco.

Know one’s party will enjoy the ambience, plus excellent food/drinks and service at COCO

Isn't Coco on the French side of the island? Looks wonderful, but our day in St. Maarten there will be 6 ships in port. I worry about getting stuck in traffic.

Yes, COCO is on the French side.
With 6 Ships in port, we left giving 1 hour back to the ship, arrived comfortably inside the hour.  But if wishing extra peace of mind, then allow 75 minutes.  Don’t forget ships have organised trips the Orient.

However, one should do what one feels comfortable with, otherwise the COCO stay will have a slight angst, thereby not fully enjoying the experience.  Fully understand.

We’ve been to Orient several times.  One of our favorite beaches (even did a land vacay after our 1st visit). For next month we booked a Princess excursion there to be safe.   Sometimes traffic is terrible

For those reading this thread to answer the original question, we have been to Divi Little Bay, most recently in February. It is a resort with chair rental (IIRC, $20 for 2 with an umbrella), a nice beach, bar, food, and about a 10 - 15 minute taxi ride from the port, depending on where you dock. Would go back there again!
