FLL - Port Everglades Alamo rental

I have a reservation for pick up and drop off at the FLL airport with Alamo which I made several months ago. I understand that Alamo has opened a new location, close to Port Everglades. Has anyone used their FLL reservation to pick up the car at Port Everglades location and drop off at FLL? Any problems or issues? Thank you.

I've read several places that the port location for Alamo is an absolute mad house on ship turn around days. I was considering renting at FLL and returning to the port location before boarding the ship, but based on the info. above I'm sticking with FLL for pickup and return.

Thanks cec311. We were hoping to walk off the ship early and catch the first shuttle over to new location. Might have to taxi to the airport.

I have used the new location. It has a free shuttle, but it's just not worth it. Sooooo many people, long lines, irritated customers.... I'll stick with the airport location even when that means paying a taxi.

eandj...3 ships in port on our day, not outrageous but more than enough to exhaust my patience. :)
