Repricing and non-refundable deposit

Does anyone understand the policy with the new non-refundable deposit and repricing?

We are booked on a cruise next spring. We booked onboard with the refundable deposit option. If I now change to a non-refundable deposit, I'd save $225. We know we are for sure going on this cruise, so I'm not worried about the deposit. I am, however, concerned that if a better price comes along before our final payment date that we won't be able to get the better price in the same category without paying the $100/person fee. Does anyone know the rule on this?

TIA!
