Harvey Insurance Experiences

Hopefully, folks trying to get home, or perhaps arrive for the next LOS sailing, will escape the devastaion. We know that your cruise is long anticpated, but please be safe!

After all is done, please help your fellow board members with your trip insurance experience, whether it be from RCI's company or another carrier.

Policies normally compensate for common carrier issues getting to the port, but not for folks driving in their own cars. Makes sense, since insurance companies can't be held accountable for the condition of private vehicles.

But in the LOS case, a large majority of cruisers do drive from within Texas and from neighboring states. Entrance and exit from / to Galveston is extremely limited, and most major roads are closed (today, 8/28/17). If your ship actually sails without you, and the devastation costs you your vacation investment, despite trip protection, please let us know.
