Any Crowding.... Any Congestion?

Since the Eastern Caribbean cruises are now being diverted to the Western Caribbean with Costa Maya being one of their ports, are folks who have recently cruised through noticed any congestion? I'm trying to ascertain if a cruise in the upcoming weeks to the Western Caribbean is worth it or will I be miserable due to overcrowding.

Any insight is appreciated.

You can check the cruise TT (Time Table) website and select a port then the month. Go down to the day that your ship is scheduled to be in port and it will show the ships scheduled to be in port that day. The link is for October 2017.

All the time table sites will most likely be out of date given the recent storms and rescheduling. But Costa Maya can only handle 3 ships at a time. And current, pre-hurricanes--schedules show that not every day of the week has 3 ships or even 1 ship in port.

So typically, with 3 ships, yes a bit crowded along the malecon mid day. Ship excursions to same places will be full and those sites somewhat crowded. Almaplena and Maya Chan are usually booked full when 3 ships are in.
