Half Term Query

Hi. We're planning on taking a 12 day Med cruise on Odyssey next year starting on May 28th. However, we are aware that this is the start of half term in the UK. How likely is it that there will be a number of children on this cruise? We deliberately avoid the main holiday periods to avoid this! Thanks.

Judging by the fact uk half term is usually only a weeks holiday and the cruise is 12 days I think you will be fine. It is the long summer holidays from june for usa and july for uk till beginning September I avoid.

I would echo Tilly's answer.

 

We took a 2 week cruise which happened to exactly coincide with an October half term and had the only youngster on board from memory.

 

Theoretically we could take Sat 26th May to Sunday 3rd June off in 2018.

Any cruise during the summer months will attract more kids. Which is why I avoid them like the plague.

Beastie, most likely to get kids in August and shorter seven day cruises in the summer. I try to avoid until September. Saying that, the summer cruises I have taken have never been swamped with kids. I guess we must have been lucky.
