pudyqat Posted December 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2005 I have booked the Sierra Madre Tour in Matzalan and the Coastal Highlights Tour in Cabo. Anyone been on these that could offer comments? I was looking for tours that do not require a lot of walking, etc. To get to wherever the tours begin, how far is that from the ship? When the tour offers to leave you in town for shopping and you are responsible for getting back to the ship on your own, could this be a problem? Or is it always easy to find a taxi or equivalent transportation to get back to the ship (in Cabo, Matzalan and Puerta Vallarta)?
garydm Posted December 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2005 In Mazatlan there is an open air shuttle that takes you thru the commerical dock area to the building from which the tours leave. In Cabo, they congregate right at the tender dock and go from there from what I have seen-have not done a tour there. In all 3 it is easy to catch a taxi back to the dock area. In PV and Mazatlan the taxi will run about $4-5 from downtown. In Cabo it is walkable but you can take a taxi or water taxi and the price will vary based on your starting point in town. Taxis are more expensive in Cabo. Always agree on a price before you get in the taxi. Gary
mii Posted December 9, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2005 I hae a suggestion. Why don;t you go to the Ports of Call Board under Mexican Rivera. There is a wealth of info there and maybe someone else has taken these excursions. You will find the ports of call board on what I call the Table of Contents. Just scroll down until you find all of the places and countries toward the bottom of the page. Marilyn
