What to do in Curacao??

Our Ship docks in Curacao on a Sunday in December and I’ve read that most of the places (buildings, museums, restaurants, etc) are closed those days. Can someone confirm this, please??

We’re not interested in a Beach trip, we want to tour the place and eat some local food.
