Question about bidding/upgrade

Hoping someone has had experience with this and can help. This is my 1st time on NCL in a long time and the bidding wasn’t going on then

 

When traveling solo and you bid on an upgrade are you only charged the amount for the one person or is it doubled? I see it says 1st and 2nd person is charged. I just don’t want to get a surprise and pay more than I expect.

Thank you. That’s what I thought but wanted to double check. I’m in an inside (whole lot cheaper than a studio)
