Escape connecting balcony room - noise?

I just noticed I am in a connecting balcony room on the Escape.

My cruise is very soon.

This frustrates me because they chose the stateroom for me months ago and I took their word for it that it was good. It's category BA, which is supposed to be one of the better balconies, but I forgot to ask if it's connecting.

Now I am very nervous about noise, because connecting hotel rooms are horrible for noise.

Anyone have any experience with connecting balcony rooms on the Escape? Noisy at all?

I've been able to move to another room in the same or lesser category before. I'm going to guess you're booked with CAS? They are really great to help you with a move like this. Within the same category isn't considered a cancellation/re-book. Personally, although they are offering me the best room available in a category like BA, I prefer an Aft cabin on the Escape and 'away' ships so I'm usually in a BD or BE. (The forward cabins are really far from staircases and elevators!) I look at walking up a couple of flights or down and see where I'm going to be spending time on the ship.

I've had a connector on the Escape before and never been bothered by noise, but perhaps we just had good neighbors. I do know the last time we had a connector there were small children next door and we didn't realize it until a few days into the cruise when we met them in the hallway.

Hope you have a great cruise:cool:

Okay, thanks. I feel a little better now.

I think I had a connecting door last year on the Gem, and I didn't hear anything from the next room.

Would really prefer the front of the ship and no connecting door, but if they can't switch me, it's not the end of the world. I just don't want it to be noisy, nor do I want to worry about being too noisy myself and disturbing others.

Yes, I have a CAS reservation. I will call them tomorrow.

We were on the Escape last week, connecting balcony (8746) and heard no noise from the cabin beside us. May have been luck with quiet neighbours, but definitely didn't hear anything through the door.
