Corby114 Posted October 28, 2017 #26 Share Posted October 28, 2017 Question is too broad for anyone to give a definitive answer. You have to specifically define your question before you will ever get an appropriate answer.
GottaKnowWhen Posted October 28, 2017 #27 Share Posted October 28, 2017 Hello CruiseCritic forum! I am interested in learning whether there is any source out there that has information on average cruise ticket prices for the major cruise lines such as RC, CC, PC, etc. I've been doing research on google.com but it is pretty hard to find a good source. If any one can direct me or has some useful information, that would be highly appreciated. Kind regards, Max As many have commented, this is probably unknowable. Too many variables. Too many hidden costs but also "no-cost" perks added on. And one company's Premium Unlimited drink package will use different liquors and wines and beers and bottled water than another company and how can you compare "value" in any meaningful way? It might be an interesting exercise (for someone else, not for me!) to go through the corparate reports of the various companies. See if you could find figures like "number of passenger nights" and "revenue from passengers", and do the math. Meanwhile, one thing that comes up occasionally in CC discussions has to do with the cost/pp/per night. As in, some "experienced" cruisers will occasionally proclaim that that just found such-and-such a great deal which is under $100/pp/night. If you take the least expensive (inside) cabin on the least expensive line, with a late booking (a few weeks before sailing) with no perks, you can apparently get by on $50-75/pp/per night. Maybe even less. But reasonable accommodations, booked well ahead, with add-ons consistent with the idea that you are after all taking a vacation, not just booking transport from A to B, you probably are talking about $200-250/pp/per night and probably even more. Which is easily what you would spend in a resort city staying at a decent hotel and eating in decent restaurants. Disclaimer: I am not an expert and I haven't ever played an expert on TV. I am just an occasional browser of Cruise Critic... Stan
