SKIPPER'S CLUB Priviledges

:cool: Hello All: I was reading on some of the Posts/Threads that if you have SKIPPER'S CLUB priviledges you will find boarding the ships a BREEZE. GREAT, but what are S.C. priviledges? Does anyone know? How does DH and I get these priviledges? HELP, these first time cruisers seem like losers (US)hahaha....momrek06:eek:

Which cruise line has Skipper's Club? NCL has Latitudes, Princess has Captain's Club and RCCL has Crown & Anchor, Carnival has past passengers. You can't join these until after your 1st cruise with the cruise line. There will be a past passnger party but not a lot more until you've cruised that line a lot. Some ports have a line for past passneges but once we found the other line moved faster when checking in! Its faster if you have all you docs filled out. Do this on line!

Skippers Club is for those that book Cat 11 or higher on Carnival.

 

Apparently it's different by port. In NY, it's priority CHECK IN, after having to go through security with the masses, but still before the long line for the pictures.

 

We actually ended up boarding BEHIND people that we behind us in the regular line before security.

 

I hear it's a lot better in other ports.

Uh, Carnival has Skipper's Club. It's for people in Suites. We had a Cat 11 on the Fantasy which is a suite. I know it's a little different at each port, but in Cape Canaveral, as soon as we went through Security and up the escalator, a guy looked at our tickets and directed us to the right to a small office. We were literally in there 3 minutes while she processed our S&S info and gave us our cabin key and S&S card and then we were escorted to the front of the line and had our picture taken and went right on board. There was a line of probably 75 people waiting to board, so we saved some time. From the time we got to the port on the shuttle to the time we were boarding was less than 10 minutes.

How is the Skippers Club in San Juan? Does this apply to disembarkation too? What about when you are in port and get back on the ship - si there a Skippers Club Line then?

In some ports--disembarkation is not for any sutie guests. They still have to wait til their color is called. It was like that for Tampa.

Priorty checkin only-- people behind me were skippers club members and still had to wait behind the people in front of them to board.

Thanks everyone for all the replies on the SKIPPER'S CLUB. Yes, I am on the Carnival Fascination and it is my FIRST cruise so maybe it is something I will look into for my SECOND cruise. Thanks again, momrek06:D

If you head to the port about 10:30--you wont need skippers club to get prirty boarding. you will be in the first group to be onboard by noon (if all goes well)

OH SERENE56: That will be our plan...thanks for the TIP. We will head over there early and start enjoying ourselves sooner than later!!! We were on the Fascination this past week-end and did use the Skippers Club. We have traveled in suites on other lines, but I have to say Carnival has done boarding the very best!!

 

As soon as we entered and told the person at the entrance we were in the Skippers Club, she brought us right a way to a seperate office, nice mahongony furniture... She checked us in and told us to go up to the second floor for our keys... We did not wait at all, I mean at all!! It was wonderful. I will say however as we passed the other lines, people were moving along really fast, and there were no long lines at all. This was at about 1:00 PM

 

As far as getting off the ship, there is no preference for the suite passangers. I think it is simply based on flight times. We had a late flight, and were in no rush. One thing we did notice, is that we actually got off the ship faster than self assist passangers, and we were not even trying to. The problem is that all the self assist passangers had to wait for an elevator because of luggage, while we just walked down the stairs, and out the door!

 

We found ur luggage right away. Gettin off was just as easy for us as getting on.

Miami does have a skippers club. You will see the sign as soon as you walk in. It is wonderful! On our cruise the club was the extent of the perks of a suite guest, that is if you dont consider the sq footage of the suite, the best perk of all!

there are no other perks for the suites other then prioity checkin. The rest of the week you get the same fabulous treatment as the people who booked the lowest cat onboard.
