Pre cruise liberty of the seas

Good morning, I would like to pass on what I no for sure we arrived yesterday pre cruise . Flew into Houston hobby from Dallas and Ubered our way down for pricing it was 51.00. I was very nervous regarding this due to we do not have this in our area.

 

2. Stayed at the hotel galvez always wanted to try this hotel due to the history but doubt I come back. Their is a mildew like smell in rooms and hallways changed rooms due to this. Note to future self only San Louis no more experiencing hotels. Lobby is very beautiful with the history.

 

3. Liberty of the seas this is my 2nd time on this ship we did this when it first came to Galveston the difference is we were in a grande suite this time guarantee inside. The bobsled like ride was not up and running yet either. This will be ladies trip no husbands or kids they are home hunting gathering our meat for the winter, lol.

Hi, we will be on the cruise with you! I agree with you about the Hotel Galvez. We stayed there once several years ago and we joked that they had never changed out the beds in the past 100 years. Our mattress was so uncomfortable. In their defense, I was 7 months pregnant and finding it difficult to sleep anywhere though. And, I think most hotels along the Galveston Seawall have a mildew smell. But, yeah, we prefer the San Luis. Except for a one night pre-cruise hotel, I don’t think the San Luis is worth the price.

For this cruise, we are at the Holiday Inn Express. It’s ok. Not great, but ok. We do have a balcony facing the ocean, so that’s nice.

Agree on San Luis great hotel with a great steak restaurant and a piano bar, but normally requires a two night stay. Very happy Uber is now allowed in Galveston we alway did town car that cost double
