Carry on soft drinks

NCL.... is really nickeling and dimeing.... Now I know why I refuse to cruise this line. Atleast on Carnival you can open the bottle of wine you take on for consumption in room without a fee....NCL nails you $15 per bottle regardless.... Plus no soda allowed.

It depends on what you want to do. Let's say you love a particular wine, and find the options on the cruise ship not worthy of your palette. You are taking a 14 day cruise. On Carnival, you can bring on one bottle per passenger. You will run out of your fine wine on day two. Carnival is obviously in league with the debbil and hates wine drinkers. They nickel and dime them big time! Plus they enslave the passengers and make them drink only their choice of wine! There ought to be a law or something! /s

On NCL or Princess you can bring on twenty CASES of wine if you like, and just pay the corkage fee (Princess allows one bottle free, then all the rest get the corkage fee). You don't have to worry about where you pour ... your cabin, any dining room or bar. And they will store your wine for you and bring out the bottle no matter where you dine.

Different strokes for different folks. If you like a particular wine, NCL and Princess are the better choices. If you are adventuresome, Disney allows you to bring on wine in any port, so a "local wine sampler" type of person might choose them. It all depends on if wine, soda or water are the primary things you cruise for.

I was hoping to do this in Miami on our last cruise, but FYI all the vending machines were out of Diet Coke. Looks like other cruisers got there first. Just mentioning not to count on this.

Oh no!

What are you doing on an NCL message board then?

So only people who absolutely love NCL are allowed to post in this forum? Really absurd notion. We are all here to share both positive and negative experiences about NCL. Even if I don't want to set foot on an NCL ship again, I would like to understand other people's experiences and what they did differently so that future cruises may be better.

I appreciate everyone’s point of view. The lovers and the haters. I will be sailing NCL for the first time ever next Feb on the Bliss and want to know all about Norwegian. The good, the bad and the ugly.

Nope. That’s not what I was thinking. But normally the people that would be on this message board would be people that at sailing or thinking about sailing on NCL. So that begs to differ that if one says that they never sail NCL it means that they are just trolling these boards.
