Hotel in Bridgetown close to port

We are looking for a hotel to spend the night before and after our cruise in January close to the port. Any suggestions?

I know that the Barbados Hilton is fairly close, just at the opposite end of Carlisle Bay from the cruise terminal, probably about 15 - 20 minutes, but that's mainly due to traffic in Bridgetown. Not sure of the exact distance in miles, but really don't think it's more than 5. You can easily see the hotel from the ships. It's right on the beach and we used a day pass there for use of pools, beach loungers/umbrella, while on a cruise stop. The ride didn't seem long.

 

But like Keith1010 recommended, check out Trip Advisor too for more ideas (and ratings). There's probably some that are closer. Sorry I can't be more help, but I do know about the Hilton, so thought I'd mention that one.

Im staying at the Yellow bird hotel in February before my cruise. Its right at the beginning of St Lawrence Gap which I hear is a very fun area. Every room at the Yellow Bird faces the water :)
