FitzLA Posted December 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2005 For those of you who who saw the recent, very bad, Poseidon Adventure on NBC, well, here it comes again. This time a big budget film in theaters starring Josh Lucas, Kurt Russell and Richard Dreyfuss. It is true to the original storyline in that this version will be a tidal wave. Coming to theaters in May....who is gonna see it? It has to be at least a little better than the recent NBC version. Can't get any worse than that. ElvisandTracey Posted December 14, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2005 Thank you, now I know I'm not crazy!! About 6 months ago I saw an HBO behind the scenes making of the P.A., with Kurt Russell-ok, not bad Then, I watched the horrible TV version last month, and poof, no Kurt Russell-started to think I imagines the whole HBO thing, now I understand that there are 2-makes more sense. But why bother?? Why so much interest in the film after 30 years?? The tv version was just boring, and the cast were all second rate has-beens for the most part, the movie with Kurt Russell must be better, as it could not possibly be worse. But I'll wait for Netflix to mail it to me, thanks anyway!!:)
FitzLA Posted December 14, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted December 14, 2005 Sounds like a rental to me too. But from what I saw of it on Entertainment Tonight, it does look MUCH better. Budget must be a lot larger!!!
AFT_LOVER Posted December 14, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 14, 2005 while we were Transcanal the past 2 weeks. It was SO bad that I couldn't believe they wasted electricity airing it. Now an actual remake movie of it for a theatre? Desperate times at the box office? Just think in a year we can see it at the cinema on ship! PhinsAndGills Posted December 14, 2005 #5 Share Posted December 14, 2005 I was on the Mariner when the TV version aired. We were wondering if they'd broadcast it in our stateroom. HAHAHAHA! Good to know we didn't miss anything.
crookedhalo Posted December 15, 2005 #6 Share Posted December 15, 2005 Hollywood seems to be lost right now. I mean really, remakes of P.A. and The Dukes of Hazzard? Give me a break! Like they were worth watching the first time around!! LOL!!
