They might switch from prepaid gratuities to OBC if their commission decreased significantly.

 

 

 

Not if your contract stipulated gratuities. Only situation where gratuities value might be reduced is when both cruise line and TA offer gratuities. Usually, in that case, cruise line will change their perk to a set dollar amount (read the fine print).

Yes, the person on board screwed up.

 

 

The rule on RC is that you can transfer your booking to an agent as long as it is within 60 days of booking AND before final payment date. If you had had the agent's name put on your booking while you sat at the Next Cruise desk, the agent would have had your booking.

I wonder why she didn't tell me that when I asked her, and she assured me that I could transfer the booking....

I hope I get to see her again on the next cruise in February, and discuss it with her....;):)
