momofslg Posted December 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 16, 2005 I have yet to have had an Aft cabin, I did much research on my upcoming Adventure cruise before booking. I found out that the Aft cabins are very sought after, so I took everyones opinions and booked mine. I'm excited to just be cruising, but to be able to get a bigger balcony for the same cost why not. I don't sail until 10/8/2006 so I still have forever to wait. When are you looking?
RSS from SF Posted December 19, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 19, 2005 Is cabin 9390 a good cabin to reserve on the Mariner of the Seas? Please send any pros or cons. On Voyager class, 9390 would be my favorite. (This would be for 2 people.) Here are 3 threads where I've posted the merits of this cabin on Navigator, which should be the closest to identical with Mariner: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=168177 ("For Bonnie or Serene") (Note: Here's a link to my post from above thread, which contains link to the other links below: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=3843186&postcount=23 ) http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=182894 ("Navigator ? Step1 Posted December 19, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 19, 2005 I am just back from 12-11 sailing and I had 9390. I really enjoyed the cabin! There were 2 lounge chairs and 2 regular chairs with a small table. It was tight when both lounge chairs were open but we enjoyed it very much. It felt very private and we got great sun heading to St Thomas! The last 2 sea days we did not have full sun on the balcony. True what others have said about the beam... if my husband was any taller he may have had a problem with the beam and his head! The walk to the aft was easy for us, it was not far at all. Nor did we have any problems with soot on this cruise! A great cruise and I would book this cabin again.
yfraser Posted December 19, 2005 #5 Share Posted December 19, 2005 We loved 9390 aboard the Mariner of the Seas... We had our choice of most desired cabins aboard this ship, and chose 9390! You will love it! There is a link to pictures of this cabin and balcony just below my listing of cruises... enjoy!
Laetitia Posted December 19, 2005 #6 Share Posted December 19, 2005 We had 9390 for the 10/23 Mariner sailing. You will love it! The balcony is really nice and the room itself is comfortable. I really liked having the shower door as opposed to fighting with a curtain.
