any updates from Princess on the progress of the Medallion?

Unfortunately, I didn't attend any events on board where that might have possibly been discussed. I did ask a number of people about the future of the rollout (tech guys, casino supervisor, internet crew, a couple of officers, etc) and they were all very, very vague. Basically, the party line was that they were testing things out with the block of cabins which had *****, working out the kinks, before it would be phased in to other cabins.

One of DS's new friends on the cruise was the son of a lady on board who worked directly for Princess. She and her family had been on board for 21 days and she was working in some capacity on *****. Did not want to violate DS's friendship by asking him to ply his friend with questions and I never ran into the mother herself (I doubt that she was lounging poolside, eating pizza and fries like me!) And DS would have been absolutely horrified (and probably disowned me) if I'd asked him to get nosy. The above info was what the friend shared and that was all I was going to get :D.

Goldie099 - sorry, should have said Martyn Moss is the Entertainment Director and DF is the Cruise Director. Keep forgetting the two different titles.

I also keep forgetting to mention: bring insect repellent!! We forgot and were eaten alive in Fort L and especially Princess Cays which was a first. There were tiny little bugs flitting around at PC and a number of people we talked to also got numerous bites. And these bites are incredibly itchy!

Mayo21 - just two, same in every bar. Newcastle brown ale and Heineken.

Will get full MUTS listing tomorrow.

DD went to a show (maybe in Princess Live) where Martyn Moss was in attendance. He mentioned that he would be getting off at the end of our cruise and his wife had had a baby about 6 months ago. DD seems to think he might have mentioned that his family was on board with him, but isn't 100% sure.

Sounds about right. He had joined the ship on Sep 9 at the start of the TA cruise and I think for the officers (and both the Entertainment Director (Martyn) and the Cruise Director are officers even though the CD does not wear a typical ship's uniform), four month contracts are typical.

Would the ED's position be above the CD? We were trying to figure it out and thought maybe ED was higher due to stripes, but didn't realize CD also has stripes.

If I’m remembering correctly, ED is 1/2 stripe higher than CD. I think ED is 3.5 and CD is 3 but it may be 3 and 2.5. Prior to ED/CD change, I think CD was what ED is now and Deputy CD was what CD is now. I believe ED is a uniformed position now.
