newport dave Posted December 30, 2017 #26 Share Posted December 30, 2017 Thanks everyone these suggestions are great! Is August a typical rainy time in the British Isles? I don’t mind the port intensiveness I actually prefer it. We’re on the fence with this or a Baltic cruise. Are there any perks with a mini suite, or is it just the bigger room? It looks like it’s $1,200 more if we did this over a regular balcony August should be our best month weather wise. Minimal rain and hopefully plenty of sun... FSU Girl Posted December 30, 2017 Author #27 Share Posted December 30, 2017 I’m assuming dining is the same, but if the port is a late one you can eat out in the city instead of on the ship. I’m loving planning for this it’s going to be so much fun. It’ll be the first time we go together to Europe too.

It looks like it’s $1,200 more if we did this over a regular balcony Unless you are in a Club Class mini suite which are significantly more expensive then the cheapest mini suites, the only perk is a glass of sparkling wine brought to your cabin after embarkation. The main benefits are the full tub and the sitting room with a sofa. My choice would be a Category BD balcony in the 600’s, or perhaps a Club Class mini suite. For August of 2019 it looks like a Caribe deck Cat BD balcony is $3,549, an Emerald deck Cat ME mini suite is $4,099 and a Dolphin deck Cat M1 Club Class mini suite is $4,699. With those prices I would probably go with the balcony cabin. Sent from my iPad using Forums Edited December 30, 2017 by IECalCruiser
