Cheap eats near Essex House hotel Miami Beach

We will be staying at the Essex House at the beginning of February on a Thursday night. Are there any good cheap dinner spots within walking distance of the hotel-- sandwiches, pizza, simple fare, Sweet Tomatoes type places, in the $10-15/person range?

If not, we will have a car and could drive but don't want to go terribly far from the hotel.

Is it a rental? If so ditch it. If not, keep in mind most parking does not have in/out parking. There is a city lot on the corner of 16th and Collins diagonal from the Royal Palm and it is $16 a day.

That said, even eating at Five Guys is going to be tough for $10-$15 for a meal. South Beach is EXPENSIVE. There is a Five Guys and Burger Fi.

Walkable and moderate there is also a TGI Fridays on the corner of 5th and Ocean Drive.

A little more expensive, Tap Tap, Havana 1957, Big Pink, Pizza Rustica, La Sandwicherie all worth the extra money.

Man cheap eats, look up Puerto Sagua, Las Olas, Burger Baby, Burger Fi, Taco Rico, Café Charlotte, The Dinner, and also there are a couple of Burger Kings, and Mc Donnalds nearby. Art Deco Supermarket sells sandwiches, Playa Café for Cuban style somethings. You sure picked an expensive place to ask for cheap eats, but those are reasonable.

Cheers.
