MustangMark83 Posted January 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2018 Me and my wife booked a cruise with Royal Caribbean on the "Allure of the Seas" departing Miami on Nov. 5th 2018 for our 10th anniversary. She really loves turtles and is excited to be up close to the sea turtles. But we were wondering if in November they will be active. I know that turtles have times of the year where they could be laying eggs or hibernating, so we have to be careful before we buy. We would hate to book an excursion and have the turtles be inactive during that time of year. Does anyone know if we will be able to encounter any at this time in November? I tried to google search "are there sea turtles available in November 2018 in Cozumel" , but I got no relevant results. So I'm hoping some of the frequent cruisers on here could tell me! Thanks. Tananda Posted January 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2018 My husband and I did an excursion in Cozumel to swim where there were a number of sea turtles. It was the very end of October and we saw many while snorkeling. Sent from my SM-G950U using Forums mobile app
Brad1972 Posted January 8, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2018 You can also swim with smaller sea turtles at the sea turtle farm in small holding pools, there’s even a holding pool that has baby sea turtles that you can hold.

Sea Turtle Farm??? Thats Grand Cayman, not Cozumel. Sea turtles are most abundant in water around Cozumel May-Sept when they arrive to lay eggs. Seeing them in the wild is a joy but not guaranteed anywhere on island. I know there is an excursion that goes over to the Mainland (takes the ferry over) to some cove where turtles hang out. That might be your best bet.
