Tdudiak Posted January 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2018 Carnival has added a diving excursion to our stop in PR. Can anyone provide information on whether it's worth it or not? TIA
Capt_BJ Posted January 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2018 where are you stopping? what does the description say; where is the diving? I'm not aware of any decent diving around San Juan but there is good diving around other parts of the island .....
Tdudiak Posted January 12, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted January 12, 2018 The description says San Juan and then this " sandy patches, grass beds, exciting cavern formations, over 200 artificial reef structures, and the historic "Fish Protection Wall" alongside with sunken statues and Roman columns". It's a multi-family cruise and my husband and I are the only ones that dive. I know there are better ports-of-call for diving that we will be stopping at, but I think with the way things are going to work out, this would be the only time where we could leave our kids with the other family members and go dive. But I want to make sure that it's going to be worth it before we make all of the arrangements.

On my upcoming cruise that end in San Juan we have a lot of time to kill after the cruise.
TrqoisWtrs Posted January 17, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2018 sandy patches, grass beds, exciting cavern formations, over 200 artificial reef structures, and the historic "Fish Protection Wall" alongside with sunken statues and Roman columns Do you have confirmation all this is still intact after the hurricane? I'd check some dive boards and see if you can find any current conditions.
