Rare BostonGal35 Posted January 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2018 we are supposed to stop here on our panama canal sail in April. I was going to do an excursion on my own with Viator to see the cliff divers (a nice simple 2 hour tour for $15 then walk the port). Would it be best to stay on ship? Do you think the cruise line would cancel this port given Level 4? Guerrero state – Level 4: Do Not Travel Do not travel due to crime. swedish weave Posted January 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2018 There will be several taxi drivers at the port who will take you to the divers and wait for you if you want. We were there a couple of months ago and took a double deck glass bottom boat harbor tour. The boat was at a slip at the end of the park area near the ship. Cost was $8.00 US per person and was a good value. I believe the boat was called Minka. We could see it when the ship docked. The guys on the boat got off and climbed up some rocks to dive, also got under the boat with a sea urchin and attracted a lot of fish. If you want to snorkel or swim, they will let you off at a beach restaurant and pick you up on the next trip. The taxi and boat operators will look after you and keep you safe. We had no concerns while there.
