Question about Art Classes on Norway Fjord cruises

Hi,

A question for those who have taken the Norwegian Fjord cruise.

I will be teaching on the May 25th cruise on the Queen Victoria. There are 2 "at sea" days and 3 "cruise by" days.

For anyone who has been on this cruise, do you know if there were art classes on the "cruise by" days or just the "at sea" days?

I am trying not to bug the cruise line or enhancement service about this.

I wouldn't have thought that was bugging, it seems reasonable for whoever is employing you to let you know how much work you are expected to do !

I haven't been on this exact cruise, but I have been on one like it. Although I can't answer your specific question as to which days the art classes will be held, hopefully I can help clarify your query about the "cruise by" days. Here is the itinerary I am seeing for the May 25, 2018 Fjords cruise on Queen Victoria.

 

May 25: Southampton - Depart 4:30 pm

May 26: At Sea

May 27: Bergen - Arrive 9:00 am, Depart 6:00 pm

May 28: Kristiansand - Arrive 9:00 am, Depart 6:00 pm

May 29: Geiranger - Arrive 8:00 am, Depart 6:00 pm

May 29: Geirangerfjord (Cruise by) - Arrive 6:30 pm, Depart 7:30 pm

May 29: Sunnylvsfjord (Cruise by) - Arrive 7:30 pm, Depart 8:30 pm

May 29: Storfjord (Cruise by) - Arrive 8:30 pm, Depart 9:30 pm

May 30: Haugesund - Arrive 9:00 am, Depart 5:00 pm

May 31: At Sea

Jun 1: Southampton - Arrive 7:00 am

 

As I see it, you will have two sea days (May 26 & 31) and four port days (May 27, 28, 29 & 30). The "cruise by" visits all occur during the evening of May 29 after the departure from the day-long call at Geiranger.

We’ve done that cruise as the cruise by portion is definitely something you don’t want to miss. Get yourself outside or by a nice large window, it is spectacular.

I am an idiot. For some reason I didn't look at the dates of the cruise by days.
