I'm not familiar with the hotel but am familiar with the area. It's kind of out of the way. Unless your renting a car your going to take a hit on your transportation costs.

I haven't been in that one either, but it's quite old and doesn't look very promising on the outside. Thank you both very much. This is for a 3 day post cruise stay booked thru am-ex using points. I'm going to call to make sure we don't have the problems mentioned in trip advisor concerning reservations.

 

Don't mind being that far north as long as we're on the beach.

 

If we get lemons we'll make lemomaide (with some tequila) call am-ex and DEMAND resolution.

 

Will report back after stay 1/15-1/17/ 06.

just called hotel to firm up and they had us booked in a city view: called am-ex they said we had ocean view. We paid for ocean front canceled reservation.

Cancelling is a good move IMO. I would try these, much nicer places all on directly on the beach...
