cruiselover10 Posted February 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2018 We will be staying at Embassy Suites Miami for our cruise in April. We know there is no where to walk to but wondering if there is a place we can Uber to where we can purchase our wine to bring aboard. Embassy Suites provides a free shuttle to the Dolphin Mall but it doesn’t look like there is anywhere to purchase wine there, unless it is not listed. Thanks in advance for your assistance.:)
JohninDC Posted February 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 7, 2018 Depending upon what you want, any nearby Publix grocery store will have a good wine selection. Even a CVS or Walgreens will have some wine. Check google maps to see what's close ;) You might look at changing your reservation to the Hampton Inn or Homewood Suites in the Blue Lagoon neighborhood near MIA (along with other nearby hotel); there is a local strip mall across the street that includes a drug store, a Publix and a liquor store - plus dining and fast food options. Good luck!
jdvmd Posted February 7, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 7, 2018 Look at Total Wine and have them deliver to your hotel. We did this back in December before our NCL Escape cruise. Had a case delivered. Also, since it was our first time using Instacart (the company that Total uses), we received the delivery for free. We added $5 as a trip for the driver at the time of ordering. Worked out perfectly. Sirgym Posted February 7, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 7, 2018 Better yet, use the app Drizzly. They will deliver the best price wine right to your door for a small fee. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Flatbush Flyer Posted February 7, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 7, 2018 Who wants to walk with a case of wine? No need to walk with a case. We carry collapsible sturdy cardboard six-pack handled holders in our checked bags (lightweight and free from wineries we visit). Bring them with us to Total Wine (far better and more accurate selection than online), use them to take back to hotel and then to ship (one pack per each of us - bungied to small 10" rollaboards we use for important stuff). When done, toss the cardboard and repeat next cruise. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

We also have called Total and picked out wines that we want specifically that we know they have that do not show within the online selections.
