Just saw a post that the Splendor will have delayed boarding on Saturday, 2/10. The reason being the CCL honchos will be there for a dedication for the Long Beach terminal renovation. Can this be a real reason or just another excuse for a delay in 2nd boarding in as many weeks?

When the Splendor was last here, we would get delay notifications every cruise. After a while they were ignored by everyone. There was never a delay. This notice was worded the same has those were.

Only once were we delayed and that reason was stated in letter, IIRC it was something sort of Coast Guard Check.

Could you perhaps be meaning 2nd delay in three weeks? We boarded the Splendor on 2/3, and there was absolutely no delay in boarding then. Boarding started at 11:45.

The debarkation video was actually playing on our stateroom TV when we arrived (rather than the typical safety announcements)...and MarQ was talking about how the terminal was still undergoing remodeling, so debarkation on 2/3 may be slowed down if necessary. However, debarking on 2/10 was fine.

Just returned from Splendor yesterday (17th Feb.) and there was no delay boarding on the 2nd. The notice was likely sent because we were told it was the official opening of the terminal and all the press and major networks were there and they thought that might delay boarding but it didn't..In fact they paid no attention to the boarding times we were given and we were going on at the sme time as those who bought FTTF.
