I was just on the Pacific in May 2019.  Returning from the Panama Canal to Fort Lauderdale. Upon boarding in LA. She was looking a little sad, mostly just the exterior paint. She had just returned from her world cruise. Through the canal and to Fort Lauderdale we went. No complaints about her form me. She was going to dry dock after this cruise. In Aruba,  some workers came aboard and starting running some fiber optic cable. When we docked in Fort Lauderdale, there was supplies and equipment sitting on the dock, waiting to be loaded on board. Before I disembarked, they were already craning sheets of plywood onto the deck above the pool. We heard the were bringing on about 400 workers for the refit and then off to the Bahamas for the two week drydock. Did not hear what all was going to be done. New paint job for sure. From there the Pacific was headed over seas.
