It's nice to save $300 on a $3000 cruise just by using gift cards. :) Personally I always stock up on them and have plenty handy. You never know when you will book another cruise, or take them aboard with you and pay your onboard spending with them. If you want to use them for excursions, you can (obviously) only do excursions through Carnival. You won't be able to use them for any private excursions you take. (Which I am sure you know, just clarifying)

 

Absolutely. That $300 savings basically covers one of our flights.
