Dolphin Swim Excursion in Deep Water

I was looking at the different Dolphin Encounters offered in Amber Cove. My BFF - who I am going with - wants to do one more than anything. I was just wondering how deep the water is in the "deep water". I saw the excursion that was in waist deep but I believe she really wants to do the swim. Any input that anyone can provide who has actually done this excursion would be greatly appreciated.
