To Take Lunch or Not to Take Lunch That is the??????

Hi!

We are traveling on the VOS Western Caribbean on 1/28/06. We are looking into doing the beach excursions in both Cozumel & Grand Cayman, but is it worth paying the extra $ to include the lunch or should we do it on our own???

There are TONS of places to have lunch on both islands. They are not too expensive on Cozumel, but Grand Cayman is kinda pricey.

 

We love going to Carlos and Charlies for lunch.. their bbq shrimp is great.

 

 

Well we love going to Carlos and Charlies for other reasons than lunch to be honest, but the great lunch is a plus..

 

Do a check on each island's board and you will get some great recommendations for lunches... I might do the prepayed lunch in Grand Cayman, but that is just me.. either way have fun...

 

We are doing the VOS western Caribbean right before you, so I can give you a better answer in a little under 3 weeks.

I would defiintely do it on your own. You can find recomendations on the Ports of Call forums here of good places to eat. We like to do this in most ports and consider it a part of the cruise experience to try the local (safe and recommended) cuisine. :)

I agree to do on your own, stay with the recommended ones through RC. It's nice to enjoy a sit down lunch, relax and people watch. :D
