Le Petit Chef on Edge

About the "Le Petit Chef", I have the impression this is in fact an upgrade to the existing Chef's Table events, with a set dining, organised just once or twice a cruise, but with as added attraction the projection "show".

It's actually a pretty cool concept, it was created by a company in my home city who specialise in holograms and nifty things like that. They've been offering the "Le Petit Chef" as a special Christmas time attraction here. There much more details about the concept of the show, with a video, on this site: https://www.ilovebelgium.be/dinner-and-show-le-petit-chef

Gee,...guess it will appeal to some. We are more traditional and dine out to enjoy the company of other people, quality food and presentation and overall ambiance, To us the concept seems silly but something that might be fun for our grandson if he joins us.

EDGE will have many choices, so although we'd pass on this, glad some will enjoy the experience!

I had no idea what this was and I thank you for posting this and giving me some idea.

The rep from Celebrity had no idea what the cost would be. And she did not know how I could book it. Did you see anything on their site to book it. We are on the 1/6/19 cruise.

The rep also told me that the Eden restaurant is going to be interactive with thing happening all around the restaurant as you eat.

She told me to watch the live presentation on Celebrity facebook page.

I tried but it broke up and would stop. Maybe it will be posted somewhere else so I can view it.

Want to get as much info as possible so I can make a choice on which one to book. And I want to get in before they get sold out.

I just got off the phone with Bri at Celebrity. I had tried for over an hour last night trying to get my specialty dining booked. Apparently the reason I was unable to book as if you buy the package (and I bought the 3 night pkg) that you do not select your dining time online but rather you have to wait until you are actually onboard the ship. Then you would speak with the maitre d or go to guest services.

After hearing this my concern was getting the the day and time that I wanted. She assured me I would have no issue at all getting the times I wanted.

I was also told that you can only do the Petite Chef one time on the cruise. It will be $55 pp and if you purchased the package or if you purchased a dinner for Le Grand Bistro (showing as $25pp) you would pay the difference to experience the Petite Chef. So that would be $30 extra and she said no different menu. She did have to put me on hold to find this info out so I hope what I am telling you is correct. It is what I was told.

Bri also added, as we went over all the specialty restaurants that are available, that the Magic Carpet is also part of the package. I cannot find a sampling of the Magic Carpet restaurant on the Celebrity site.

I heard them say that when Magic Carpet was at the top in the evening it would serve food that was locally sourced from the port it was in. It sounded like the menu would be fluid. Considering what they charge for Chef's Market Discovery I'd expect this to be a pretty expensive experience.

Kind of like what they promised and never delivered for Luminae.

Frankly, I don't care about them purchasing it that day in port, but I wish they'd serve a few local dishes.
