Question Regarding booking Cruise for 2020

Hello, am looking to book a cruise to the Med around May 2020. Am I correct to assume that booking for spring 2020 starts around 18 months prior; which would be around Nov 2018? Am looking for two different type cabins and want to make sure I can snag one of the two cabins. Thanks in advance for any and all feedback.
