FLL Pre Cruise

We are a group of 4 arriving in FLL April 21st, looking for an inexpensive and clean hotel for the night. Now in the past we have used the Wyndham but $180 a night for only a few hours sleep was pricey.

We arrive after dinner and will be leaving after breakfast for the cruise ship, so fancy is not a requirement. Any suggestions from past cruisers?

Inexpensive & clean, try one of these 17th Street hotels just minutes from the airport and Port Everglades:

Holiday Inn Express... http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hd/fllcc

Extended Stay America... http://www.extendedstayamerica.com/...ter-marina.html

AmeriSuites... http://amerisuites.com/reservations....asp?facid=3929

We stayed at Amerisuites this month and were well pleased with the Hotel. Had new carpet in room and was clean. Had to leave for airport before breakfast was served so didn't get to try it. The van took us to the river taxi and came back to get us when we called. Think you will like it.

AmeriSuites has shuttles, but Extended Stay America and Holiday Inn Express "Convention Center" are much nicer hotels! They're all in the same general location, all less than 10 minutes from FLL, and just outside the entrance to Port Everglades.

Shuttles are NEVER a reason to book a hotel, taxis are plentiful and inexpensive, and in many cases the shuttles are so overcrowded and have such long lines on cruise days that you'll end up taking a taxi anyway!

If you want to stay at AmeriSuites book it through one of the discount sites such as Valuetrips... http://www.valuetrips.com/AMS/FL/F17.htm
