Arrival appointments

How soon after I make my reservations, can I select my arrival appointment? Also, do must people do their online checkin before the final payment?

You can select your check in time as soon as you book your cruise.

 

It doesn't matter when you complete your online check in as long as it is done the day prior to boarding. I think the day of boarding your reservation is no longer accessible on Carnival's website.

Arrival appointments are usually available somewhere around 180 days before your sailing date. Ours showed up at 190 days out.

Right. I guess I forgot to mention that. I never book that far out so that has never been an issue for me. I usually book 30 to 60 days ahead.

There is no definitive date when the check-in times appear. Carnival says around 6 months prior to your sail date. Generally between 180 and 200 days out. So if you want to get an earlier time, you just have to keep check when you get down around there.

 

If you complete your online check-in well ahead of your sail date, you can always go back and change something later. Or do everything except print your documents (boarding pass, luggage tags, etc.) so you don't have to keep them somewhere, then print them off when it's time.
