MrsJones02 Posted March 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Hi, so I’m looking into flights for my cruise in June that leaves from Port Canaveral. Flying into FLL instead of Orlando is about $450 less! Does anyone know of the best way to get from airport to the port? Shuttles, renting a car? I know the drive is about 3 hours. Sent from my iPhone using Forums Renting a car is the best. You could look at the train or shuttles for prices. Flying into Orlando still is the best . Rental car will probably eat up most of the difference .
Rsavtechcruise Posted March 29, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Rent a car most of the larger Florida rental car companies will either allow drop of anywhere in state or some have like 100 dollar drop charge. So 100 drop fee and $50 dollar rental day is is way cheaper try going to the rental car company websites and do a mock booking
Kamloops50 Posted March 29, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2018 If you flying into Fll and flying out. You’ll need the rental for two directions doubling the cost. Also add a hotel in Fort Lauderdale because you can’t disembark in PCO and get get to FLL easly for a flight the same day.

If we are one of the first to disembark in the morning and have a late afternoon flight (3-4pm) you don’t think we could make it? jdvmd Posted March 30, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 30, 2018 Have you looked at other airlines like Allegient which goes out of Orlando Sanford or Frontier? Jet Blue?
Talex831 Posted March 30, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 30, 2018 Daytona, Melbourne, Sanford—any of these would be a lot closer than FLL. It’s almost a 4 hour drive to Cape Canaveral from Fort Lauderdale. Even Tampa is just over 2 hours away. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Kamloops50 Posted March 30, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 30, 2018 That’s assuming if those airlines fly close to where OP lives or isn’t cross border.

Son of a son of a ... Posted March 31, 2018 #13 Share Posted March 31, 2018 Have you looked at SFB as an alternative airport?
morrisretired Posted March 31, 2018 #14 Share Posted March 31, 2018 You might want to check with Southwest Airlines on prices. They fly from 3 area New York Air Ports to Orlando. One of them, LGA, EWR, or ISP to MCO might work out for you.
MrsJones02 Posted March 31, 2018 Author #15 Share Posted March 31, 2018 Have you looked at SFB as an alternative airport? Yes, no flights from my area to that airport on the 25th Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Talex831 Posted March 31, 2018 #16 Share Posted March 31, 2018 Look at booking two one-way flights instead of round-trip. You may be able to come in or go out closer to the port to avoid driving so far both ways. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
