Different VIFP offers?

I was looking for a possible cruise and input our VIFP numbers for pricing. The pricing came up different so I logged into my spouses VIFP profile and then logged into my VIFP profile. They are similar but one offers a $50 on board credit and a category upgrade and the other doesn't. We have only cruised together on the same ships. So what gives? Anyone else have spouse/family members with different VIFP offers?

Since cabins are booked primarily for two (or more) occupants, each person in the same cabin should receive the same offer, even though it may not show up under your profile. You can always call your PVP or Carnival to confirm that.

We need book two rooms, 1 for us and 1 for kids. So I feel like we should be getting the same rate for the exact room category/next to each other.

 

I can call if/when we book, I was curious as to why we don't have same offers on out VIFP profiles and wondering if that's common.

This exact thing happened to me on Friday - it said my offer didn't apply to my VIFP number so I used my husband's and it worked. My husband is 10 1/2 years older me, so I attributed it to the "Senior" discount they offer.......

I know I only have 3 cruises under us, but we have no offers. Weird

We get this too. DH and I always have different offers even though we have taken all of the same cruises and buy the same stuff on the ships ! I am always the one with the better offers! So weird. I just figured there was some algorithm that I fit into to get better offers, but no idea. Always like that too.

I have never had offers and decided to check under my husbands number and he had a few.

 

He also gets promo stuff in the mail and I never have.

 

I have one more cruise under my belt than him. So, I don' know. Seems weird though.

Something similar happened when I booked our upcoming cruise. I called Carnival after booking and they updated the second room to have the $50 OBC

I’m wondering if it’s like Vegas and based on your play in the casino and spending habits elsewhere. My husband gets much better offers than I do in Vegas but he gambles more. It’s the same on cruises, my husband spends a lot more money in the casino and around the ship (mostly on alcohol). And he consistently gets better VIFP offers.
