Alnwick Castle & Garden AND Lindisfarne Holy Island

Recommended Posts

We will be in the port of Newcastle upon Tyne, which I believe will actually be North Shields, on a Sunday in September from 8am-9pm (back on ship by 8pm). Is it feasible to tour Alnwick Castle and Gardens, have lunch at the Treehouse and then travel to Lindisfarne Holy Island and tour the castle there all in one day? I have checked the tides and it is safe to cross between 11am to 6:40pm. on the date we are there.

Because you have a late departure you should be able to do this. What transport were you thinking of.
