millsjack Posted April 3, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2018 One may need to take a good care and may take few minutes to rightly connect the camera relying on the process and the equipment that one chooses to use, and a smartphone or a digital camera is all that one may need and this depends upon one’s choice, however, it is surprisingly easy to connect the camera. This is necessarily important to align the lens of the digital camera or the mobile phone with the eyepiece of the scope and users angle is also important since both of the two remain close. In order to get the quality picture, users may need to buy a commercial adapter which would be handy when the users are in trouble. To get the quality picture, first, the user must adjust the camera settings and then take a few snapshots.
framer Posted April 4, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2018 FWIW, Nikon made an adapter that turns any lens into a spotting scope. It was cool an I use to have one. Stupid me I sold it for a huge profit in a moment of weakness. I think you can find it from time to time on fleabay. framer
Rare pierces Posted April 4, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 4, 2018 If anyone is interested in this, Google "Digiscoping". There's a whole community out there that is darned near as fanatical as some camera owners. BTW, smartphones are the new "thing" to mount on a spotting scope.
