Slippers/Flip flops

Cannot remember if we had Flip flops in our cabin on our previous Mariner sailing, no doubt I will get a reply in a flash. Sailing on the 8thJan on a Back to Back Caribbean, Anyone from the UK on either of these?

I have never gotten any footwear on our cruises. I don't remember of hearing of anyone getting any either. Maybe passengers do in the high end categories?

Oops... maybe someone just forgot them last time and you thought they were included in your room. lol

 

Have never heard of slippers or flipflops, I've had them in high end hotels (brand new and wrapped in plastic), but not on a cruise ship. Always take my own.

We had terry cloth slippers for use in our Grand Suite on Rhapsody last week. They were individually wrapped in plastic so they were either brand new or had been cleaned really well. They were pretty comfortable although really big. This is the first time I've seen them so I think they are a suite amenity.

I've had slippers (cheap) provided on both Princess and Oceania. They were sealed in cellophane/plastic.

We'll have 5 in our Grand Suite - do you think everyone will get a pair? Or, just 2 sets like the robes?

We were given 3 sets as well as 3 robes, since there were 3 of us in the room. If you are only given 2 robes, ask for the extra robes as you are entitled to them if you are in a suite.

Please, please, please. No matter how many pairs of slippers you get, don't wear them to the dining room!! :D

I thought this was going to be a post about wearing slippers or flip flops on formal night in the dining room.:D I got a great pair of red fleece slippers for Christmas that match my formal dress - would that be ok?

 

Seriously, we used to get those one-size-fits-all slippers in our Category C (before they became JS) cabin, but I think those have gone by the wayside except for full suites. I always had a problem keepping them on my feet - they were kind of clown shoes in reverse on me.

As an FYI, when we were on the Mariner, they weren't in the suite, we had to ask for them. They weren't delivered until the second day, and there were no women's sizes available, only large men's sizes (they fit my husbands size twelve feet just fine!)

 

Bottom line, if slippers are important to you, bring your own, don't count on them.
