Cuban honey

I’m a beekeeper and would like to get a few jars of Cuban honey to give as souvenirs to friends at home.

Has anyone bought any honey near the port? We are in Havana for two days, but the first day is a national holiday and I think a lot of places will be closed.

Any info would be great!

We are also beekeepers and will be in Cuba in October. Since we made our reservations before the June cutoff - we booked our own excursions. We asked our guide in Santiago de Cuba to take us to a aviary. He told us no one has ever asked that - but from what we understand - we're going! We plan on picking up some honey.

We have purchased honey in various Central American countries and had no problem bringing it back to the US.
