Port Canaveral customs -- HORRIBLE!!

Recommended Posts

It might be unreasonable to you but some may have not known this. Suites get first walk off most of the time.

Suites and pinnacles opting to carry off their own luggage usually get off first. The other suite/pinnacle guests usually come after all the guests carrying off. On our last Liberty cruise there were about 1000 people carrying off their own luggage and eventually the suite/pinnacle guest were escorted to the front of that line.

Nope, it was Saturday, April 7. Why couldn’t it have been Saturday?

What cruise line and what terminal? The Majesty sails on Mondays and Fridays and the Oasis sails on Sundays. Both sail from terminal 1. There are no sailings from terminal 1 on Saturdays that I know of.

We left Harmony today. We were escorted directly to our luggage in the terminal, and then escorted to customs, no waiting, no lines. They held the customs line so that Suites and Pinnacles could Pass first. This is a perk paid for.

Yes, those wishing to carry all their luggage off generally get off first. We had no line. We were in our car by 7:30.

Pretty sure you got that response, because Royal has its own terminal.

Oh dear, I didn’t even realize this was the Royal forum. I just noticed the Port Canaveral topic and had to see if our experience was typical for boarding and disembarking there. Lesson learned I’ll look closer at which forum I’m posting in.

You are kidding yourself if you think this has anything to do with "less government"; you are paying as cruise passengers, as do air passengers,"user fees" as part of your fare that pay for the CBP staff (guess what - they still get paid in a government shutdown). Port Canaveral is just not run as well as PEG (Port Everglades) which has Mobile Passport and just plain seems to run better. Complain and loudly only way it will change - they have the staff. This problem with Port Canaveral is noted on other boards as well...
