DonRobertoSanJuan Posted April 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2018 We are departing from the Mayflower terminal and have a boarding time of 14:30. Can we drop our luggage at the terminal in the morning?
john watson Posted April 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 21, 2018 Yes, there is no problem if you can find the guys that put suitcases through the hole in the wall early doors. They start just before the earliest boarding time. Then just go off around town or whatever. Regards John

john watson Posted April 22, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 22, 2018 The earliest boarding time is around 12.30 so earliest case drop off is going to be about noon. You personally are recommended to present yourself in the terminal at or around your allocated boarding time as advised on your boarding pass which can be printed out a few weeks before sail date. Priority is given to passengers turning up at the correct time. Many people arrive earlier for various reasons and have to wait, they try and work you in but favour the others who comply with their timescale. cruiseluvva Posted April 22, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 22, 2018 We regularly drop off luggage at 11 am - when we sometimes arrive.
Adammara Posted April 22, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 22, 2018 I was once told they don't accept luggage until the previous cruisers luggage has been cleared, normally 10.00 to 10.30 am. We stay at Winchester pre cruise, a touch of last minute shopping at M&S Hedge End, then off to the docks. On the last 2 cruises on Cunard we have arrived about 11.30am, unloaded, checked in, and on QE in minutes. OK, we were in a suite, but there did not appear to be anybody waiting in the departure lounge. Just our experience, far better then the 'old days' on P&O when check in opened at midday, and boarding started at 2pm, and the anxious wait for your number to be called!
