Carnival seems to be able to launch a new Casino program much faster than RCCL!!

Recommended Posts

**Quick disclosure - Far bigger RCCL fan than Carnival**

I know many have been waiting patiently for a new Casino Royale program since December... and I participate on the other feeds about the poor roll out of the new program. Just spoke with CR yesterday, and again - no new info.

Just wanted to bring to anyone's attention to those who are participating on this topic the email I received this AM from Carnival about their new Casino program. Looks like if things go smoothly I should know about the details of their new program in 4 days (May 1st)... vs 4 + Months for RCCL.

I'm not holding my breath for any real details. These companies really know how to drag out the suspense. I am a long time CCL loyalist and have finally decided to roll the dice on other cruise-lines because, besides the sharp decline in Casino perks, the general service on our last few voyages have really left us less than impressed. We are trying an all inclusive resort next month and Allure of the Seas (our first RCL) in the fall. Not saying I will never sail CCL again but at this point the Casino offers/changes would have to be really impressive to get me back to being a Carnival regular.

Carnival isn't doing too well in my view since I have not received anything on a new Players Club program despite being a member for a very long time. And in fact I am still waiting on that complimentary drink I ordered in the Valor casino a couple years ago! Worst service ever and you can't go up to the bar and order it yourself like on RCCL.

We are members of both casino programs and have been for a long time, I have to agree with Rick, Club Royal to me is a better program then Carnival Players Club, with that being said I received the same email this morning, BUT.... at least it was some kind of notice about a new casino program that is suppose to be starting on May 1st.

I have read many, threads on here and not to many people if any have received any type of email about the new casino program. We called CR today to see if we could get any info on what tier we are...and were told that CR reps. they have no info and they are waiting for emails to go out, and if we don't receive email that the casino host on board will have our info.

Does this sound right, how can a casino host know what tier you are and Club Royal doesn't , don't all info about players come from Club Royal?

We are sailing on Adventure in 2 weeks and maybe we will know something before then, but I am not counting on it. It's only been 4 months. What's 2 more weeks!
