Booking private restaurants on RCCL

 Share

Recommended Posts

You do not have to have your cruise paid in full before you can reserve the specialty restaurants, but you will need to pay the restaurant's upcharge fee when you book your reservations.

You can also change reservations, and book individual or multiple restaurant packages on board.

Keep in mind that these aren't true "private" restaurants. You will be sharing the space with others who are dining at the same time. Instead, they are often called "specialty" restaurants since they have different menus than the main dining rooms (MDR) and are usually cooked to order, much like a land based restaurant, instead of prepared in advance and delivered to your table when you order, like in the MDR. The MDR is more of a banquet arrangement, with hundreds of the same food items being prepared all at once, then kept warm or cold as appropriate, and delivered to customers when they chose that item.
