FLL pier- a shop?

I've read several people refer to a shop (for cigarettes and booze) at the Port Everglades terminal and I must not be looking because i haven't seen it. Would someone describe where it is, please? Could they have meant the airport terminal?

Hi Phyllis, inside the terminal? At FLL? I have seen a small

shop where they sell candy, etc.

 

But before you sail, directly on 17th Street (which is only about

a 6 minute cab ride to the ship) is a new Publix, which is located

behind Embassy Suites. It is a full service grocery store where

you can purchase whatever you need.

The person who asked the question wanted to know if the Miami port had a shop like ft Lauderdale had. I was stunned that I'd been so unobservant if there was one. Lois, I never even saw a place to buy candy!

I remember the place Lois is talking about. It's against the wall all the way across where you go in. If I remember correctly it's pretty small, I think only candy, and maybe soda & light snacks. I've found the prices at the Publix on 17th street to be pretty good.

Shop for cigarettes on the mainland?!? They're getting $18.50 a carton for major brands on the ship. Can't even beat that in S. Carolina. Why shop on shore?
